Elevation models have finite resolution and do not include every building, tree or local obstruction. Antenna height, cable loss, transmit power, antenna gain, polarization, interference and legal limits all matter in a real link budget.

What the calculation shows
The straight radio path between the entered antenna heights, adjusted for Earth curvature.
A radio link usually needs more than visual clearance. The tool marks the first Fresnel zone and reports its worst clearance.
Free-space path loss is a baseline based on distance and frequency. It is not a prediction of received signal strength.
